Dick Farley played football and ran track at Boston University, then played two years for the San Diego Chargers. In July of 1972 Dick Farley arrived at Williams College to coach track and field, assist in football, and teach physical education classes. Farley planned to stay for a year or two before moving on. However, at Williams, he found the perfect fit for him and for his family. He coached Eph football for thirty-two years and track and field for forty-four years.
